Angel White Brocade Corset

I’m always a huge fan of a good corset, and the Angelic White Brocade Corset certainly fits that description! The fabric is soft, shiny and gorgeous with a feminine brocade pattern on it. While the corset itself is rather short in length, I really like the shape of the neckline as it’s quite flattering on the bust, and it scoops down to cover the belly.

It’s fully lined and has a steel busk, with boning throughout that shapes nicely without being too constrictive. It has ribbon ties at the back that can be loosened or tightened as necessary. The corset comes with a matching G-string, but as with any ‘one size fits all’ style G-string, I would never wear it. It works fine for shoots though, as you can see in the photos.

You can purchase the Angelic White Brocade Corset from Wild Cherry Lingerie.

This basque from Pour Moi? is gorgeous. I am always a fan of lace-ups, and the black satin lace up feature at the back really makes this piece. It does up with a 12 hook fastening which can be fiddly – the lace-up is purely for show – but totally worth the effort and you’ll not be in a hurry to remove it!

Designed with lightly padded half cups that are partially sheer, it is embroidered with a floral pattern and comes with detachable suspenders. It’s rather short in length but stops at a nice spot on the stomach, with the lace-up at the back being able to be adjusted if you want it be more form-fitting or loose.

While I’m normally a fan of cleavagey styles that really push the girls up and in, the cups on this style have the breasts sit in a more natural position, as you can see from the above photo. I bought the 8F and find that it can cut in a little where the sheer material begins, so could have gone up a cup size. It’s not quite as va-va-voom as I’d like in terms of cleavage and a side profile, but the gorgeous style and pattern is enough to make me forgive that.

The matching underwear is also lovely – a very flattering G-string with a plain black back and matching silver floral pattern on the front with lace-up details on either sides of the hips.

The Pour Moi? Provence basque can be found online through select sites including Ebay, although you’ll need to go searching as it’s sold out in most places!

Kleemeier Lace Torsolette 30F

Kleemeier Lace Torsolette 30F

I went for a visit to my favourite lingerie store Silk Elegance to try and find something white for a group photoshoot that I was doing and came across an absolute gem. Imported from Germany, this torsolette is of the highest quality soft lace and satin and has a plunging neckline and moulded cups that give really nice shape, uplift and cleavage.

The straps are fully adjustable and removable, so it could be worn strapless, but I don’t think I’d feel supported enough in it as the cups are quite shallow. The suspender straps are also detachable.

Kleemeier Lace Torsolette 30F

The sheer panels of lace and boning create a flattering shape and although I did have misgivings about it being too loose as it was a 30F rather than a 28, it’s super clingy and tight without being uncomfortable and I can wear it on either of the 2 hook and eye fastenings and be comfy. The cup runs true to size, although it would be a very snug fit for a size 8 body as it is made for, given I usually wear a 28 and it was very form-fitting on me.

I didn’t buy the matching underwear as the G was high-cut, the boylegs made me look a bit frumpy (too much coverage) and they didn’t have the brief. I did however find a pair for the shoot (pictured below) from an entirely different brand that worked perfectly!

The price tag – $190 – did have me umming and ahhing for a good 10 minutes or so, but I guess for a bridal set you would be willing to pay top dollar to have gorgeous lingerie for your big day. It is such good quality that as soon as I put it on and saw how beautifully it fit, I was in love! It’s a definite sexy and classy winning piece. Check it out here. You can shop the Kleemeier brand – if you speak German! – here.

Review: Victoria’s Secret – Dream Angels Bra (32DDD) 2014 Fall/Winter

Lingerie Review
Victoria's Secret Dream Angels

Victoria’s Secret Dream Angels

Another of my surprise purchases when I visited the Victoria’s Secret store in NY in December 2014! This bra is gorgeous, although in a 32DDD it’s slightly too big in the band for me and too small in the cup. Compared to the other bra that I reviewed from this collection (see the bottom of this review for a link to the other review that I wrote) these cups are slightly smaller and more shallow and although the gore comes up higher it doesn’t fit me as well.

The bra is primarily white with black suede straps that are fully adjustable and a black bow in the centre gore, which has a little keyhole. The two hook fastening is also black and provides a nice contrast on the band, as do the straps and centre bow. The band is plain material with only the cups and wings having a lace detail.

The cups themselves are half lined with light padding then finished with mesh that’s covered in lace with rhinestone embellishments. After the padding ends, the bra is semi-sheer. The material on the inside is super soft and not scratchy and I could easily wear this bra all day if it was in my true size.

The bra gives a great uplifted round shape and the soft finish of the cups hugs the boobs without cutting in, even though it is slightly too small for me. The lace is scalloped on the cups and the cleavage would be perfect if the band wasn’t too large for me and the bra was in my true size. I WISH that VS made my size as their designs are simply gorgeous and not crazy expensive.

VICTORIA’S SECRET – DREAM ANGELS DEMI CUP BRA

VICTORIA’S SECRET – DREAM ANGELS DEMI CUP BRA

On my visit to the U.S. in December 2014, I just knew I had to visit a Victoria’s Secret store – even though I knew that they didn’t stock my size. I was hoping to buy something non-underwired that I could wear for a photoshoot whilst there. I was like a kid in a candy shop!

I was very surprised to find an underwired bra (or two) that actually fit me here. The 32DDD, although too loose in the band to be an all day wear bra – was an okay fit for me.

I was also surprised to find that this bra is super comfy! The colour is a gorgeous red and the inside of the cups and shiny material are very soft and the perfect shape to provide great cleavage. The cups are lined with lace that features shiny crystals. The band is of the same lace material and it fastens with two hooks at the back. The straps are fully adjustable and can be changed to cross-over at the back, which I prefer for a bit more cleavage and a firmer fit.

I particularly loved the high-waisted G-string undies! I got the undies in an XS and wish I had gone up a size as there is no stretch in the lace part of the band around the hips. The tulle however is super soft and is loose around the top to fit the hips in a very flattering way. The frill creates a cute little tutu-like skirt. The suspender straps are detachable and adjustable. I was not very happy that after only a few wears, the tulle keyhole design at the back tore. Again, I wish I had gone up a size, but it also was very flimsy material.

Pour Moi? Half Cup Bra

Review: Pour Moi Addicted Half Cup Bra 30F

Lingerie Review
Pour Moi Addicted Red

Pour Moi Addicted Red

I am addicted to the way this set photographs – so beautifully because it IS so beautiful! I own this set in both black and red and bought different styles of underwear for each. Let’s start with the bra, though.

The half cup bra has double straps that are so much prettier to look at than the traditional one strap but unfortunately don’t provide much support. It also means that the straps can only adjust so far. The cups are made of semi-sheer floral lace lined with soft material so they’re not scratchy at all. The band is 3 hooks wide, and while it is thick,

I wouldn’t wear this as an everyday bra as it isn’t very comfortable – I find that the cups go back further than necessary and dig in under my arms. This could also be due to the fact that the band is bigger than I need, though. I don’t find the shape of the bra all that flattering – from the side, my boobs appear much flatter, and there is absolutely no cleavage to speak of, however the double bra straps look very sexy exposed. I do like the tassel rather than the usual bow that adorns the gore, too.

Both the G-String and the strappy brief are absolutely gorgeous! I bought both pairs in a size 8 and they were a good fit. I chose the strappy brief for the black set, however as you can see from the photo here, I wouldn’t really call it a brief – it’s more of a G-String and it will ride up your butt. It is comfy though, as long as you aren’t wanting modest butt coverage. The double straps are sexy and can be worn high or low. The briefs are made of completely sheer mesh material with a cotton gusset, and they have a lace accent that runs around the top and stops the briefs from looking like they are cutting in on the hips. There’s another cute tassel in the centre at the front and one on the double straps at the back of the undies.

Pour Moi Addicted bra red gstringThe G-String undies are teeeeny tiny but oh-so hot! As you can see by the model’s photoshopped bits, not much is left to the imagination, but I feel very sexy in these undies and the cut and style is pretty unique. Because of the style, they do come up quite a bit higher than the briefs do – I tend to prefer lower riding undies. This G couldn’t be worn with a pair of hipster jeans, though, without popping out. Although it looks pretty flimsy, it’s high quality material.

The back of the G-String has a really pretty 3 strap design instead of the usual triangle of material which looks really great when wearing the suspender belt – and without. The suspender belt has 2 hooks and is adjustable. The front of it is gorgeous, with three straps running horizontally across separating the lace section and a tassel front and centre.

The one feature that I didn’t like of this set was the oddly placed butt tassel. I tried it on, and was genuinely concerned that it had been sewn in the wrong place. It made me feel like I had a tail! Apparently it wasn’t a mistake, according to the image below – simple fix, though, I just cut it right off. I had intended to sew it front and center on the G but never quite got around to it – seems a much more logical spot for it!

Freya Deco Darling

Freya Deco Darling

The Freya Deco Darling set is hands down my favourite lingerie collection to date, and when you look at it – both on and off – it’s not hard to see why.

It’s both incredibly flattering and supportive, and the floral pattern in black and soft rose/blush pink makes me think old-school Hollywood glamour. It is super sexy when combined with the great shape and va-va-voom cleavage that the plunge bra gives! The bra is true to size – I bought a 28F which was a perfect fit at the time, but I now own the other Deco styles in a 28G which is a better fit for me. I wear this set as both an everyday set and special occasions set, as it’s not only gorgeous to look at but is also ultra comfy.

I wear the XS bottoms and XS suspender belt. I bought both the G-String and the full briefs and had misgivings about the briefs looking ‘nana-ish’ after looking at the photo of them here.

Freya Deco Darling 28F

Freya Deco Darling 28F

However they don’t look nearly as big on my bottom and the material is super soft and clings nicely to shape the butt. It’s thin so it doesn’t give you a VPL.

I seriously adore this set. I’d wear it every day if I could! In fact I might invest in the shorts and a couple more G’s and briefs so that I can! Not only is it stunning, but the prices aren’t outrageous and the quality of the material is well worth it.

The Freya Deco collection comes in a range of colours – I’d recommend investing in all of the colours that you like – you can check them out at the Freya Lingerie website here.
