Angel White Brocade Corset

I’m always a huge fan of a good corset, and the Angelic White Brocade Corset certainly fits that description! The fabric is soft, shiny and gorgeous with a feminine brocade pattern on it. While the corset itself is rather short in length, I really like the shape of the neckline as it’s quite flattering on the bust, and it scoops down to cover the belly.

It’s fully lined and has a steel busk, with boning throughout that shapes nicely without being too constrictive. It has ribbon ties at the back that can be loosened or tightened as necessary. The corset comes with a matching G-string, but as with any ‘one size fits all’ style G-string, I would never wear it. It works fine for shoots though, as you can see in the photos.

You can purchase the Angelic White Brocade Corset from Wild Cherry Lingerie.

Pour Moi? Provence Basque

This basque from Pour Moi? is gorgeous. I am always a fan of lace-ups, and the black satin lace up feature at the back really makes this piece. It does up with a 12 hook fastening which can be fiddly – the lace-up is purely for show – but totally worth the effort and you’ll not be in a hurry to remove it!

Designed with lightly padded half cups that are partially sheer, it is embroidered with a floral pattern and comes with detachable suspenders. It’s rather short in length but stops at a nice spot on the stomach, with the lace-up at the back being able to be adjusted if you want it be more form-fitting or loose.

While I’m normally a fan of cleavagey styles that really push the girls up and in, the cups on this style have the breasts sit in a more natural position, as you can see from the above photo. I bought the 8F and find that it can cut in a little where the sheer material begins, so could have gone up a cup size. It’s not quite as va-va-voom as I’d like in terms of cleavage and a side profile, but the gorgeous style and pattern is enough to make me forgive that.

The matching underwear is also lovely – a very flattering G-string with a plain black back and matching silver floral pattern on the front with lace-up details on either sides of the hips.

The Pour Moi? Provence basque can be found online through select sites including Ebay, although you’ll need to go searching as it’s sold out in most places!

Kleemeier Lace Torsolette 30F

Review: Kleemeier Lace Torsolette 30F

Kleemeier Lace Torsolette 30F

I went for a visit to my favourite lingerie store Silk Elegance to try and find something white for a group photoshoot that I was doing and came across an absolute gem. Imported from Germany, this torsolette is of the highest quality soft lace and satin and has a plunging neckline and moulded cups that give really nice shape, uplift and cleavage.

The straps are fully adjustable and removable, so it could be worn strapless, but I don’t think I’d feel supported enough in it as the cups are quite shallow. The suspender straps are also detachable.

The sheer panels of lace and boning create a flattering shape and although I did have misgivings about it being too loose as it was a 30F rather than a 28, it’s super clingy and tight without being uncomfortable and I can wear it on either of the 2 hook and eye fastenings and be comfy. The cup runs true to size, although it would be a very snug fit for a size 8 body as it is made for, given I usually wear a 28 and it was very form-fitting on me.

I didn’t buy the matching underwear as the G was high-cut, the boylegs made me look a bit frumpy (too much coverage) and they didn’t have the brief. I did however find a pair for the shoot (pictured below) from an entirely different brand that worked perfectly!

The price tag – $190 – did have me umming and ahhing for a good 10 minutes or so, but I guess for a bridal set you would be willing to pay top dollar to have gorgeous lingerie for your big day. It is such good quality that as soon as I put it on and saw how beautifully it fit, I was in love! It’s a definite sexy and classy winning piece. Check it out here. You can shop the Kleemeier brand – if you speak German! – here.

Pleasure State Penelope Jane

Pleasure State Penelope Jane Control Balconette Bra 30F Review

30F, Black, Bra, Lingerie, Pleasure State

Worth every cent! This bra is that winning combination of sexy, comfy and supportive.

Pleasure State Penelope Jane

The Penelope Jane is all over black satin with a floral crystal lace overlay on the cups that gives it a very pretty shine. It also has the signature Pleasure State crystal buckles and a few other bits of sparkle that catch the eye.

The bra provides more cleavage than I expected after looking at photos of the set (compare the difference of the fit on me to the model pictured here). My only issue though is that the gore comes up a bit high and wide on me so doesn’t provide the perfect separation and shape. This could be due to the fact that it’s a 30 back, whereas I should be in a 28. The cup size (F) is a good fit for me, though. It looks good under a tight shirt and gives great shape, uplift and support – in part due to the firmness of the band and it also has wide wings.

You can buy the Penelope Jane set here. It also comes in a pastel blue colour, and white with salmon coloured lace inserts.

That Boob Blog

Lingerie

Any woman with an unusual bra size (i.e. anything smaller than a 32 in the band and bigger than a D in the cup) will agree with me when I say that finding bras that you would be proud to be seen in is not an easy task. Another pet peeve of mine? Lingerie companies that DO make larger cup sizes will often use the smaller cup sized women to promote them, thus the images look very different to the way the bra would actually look on a bigger bust!

My cup size has fluctuated in the past year from between a 28H and 32H. Since the age of 17, I have always been bigger than E cup. Bra and bikini shopping used to be an absolute nightmare and I would dread the hours spent in the change rooms trying to find something that I didn’t bulge/fall out of and that didn’t give me the dreaded sausage boob.

I’m currently wearing a 28F-G bra. In saying that, my lingerie drawer contains bras of a variety of sizes, as there is no true consistency across brands and styles of sizing. Plus I’ll sometimes cheat and buy a bra that isn’t a true fit for me because it’s downright amazing…

There is now a select few lingerie brands that became aware of a serious gap in the market and now offer a range of sizes and styles of bras that exceed the D cup! I still find it difficult to find stores that stock these, so I do most of my shopping online. However, along the way i’ll suggest a few stores – and obviously brands – that cater for unusual bra sizes and tell you my faves to help point you in the right direction.

So fear not big-boobed petite ladies! Bra shopping doesn’t have to be a nightmare any more. I’ll give you a run-down of the bevvy or bras that I’ve busted in and out of and include some snaps to show you how larger cup size bras actually look on a larger cup sized woman.

Fear not!
